Founded by the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of Mosul in Kurdistan, Iraq, our school was given a name that honors its Syriac heritage and history: “Meltho,” a Syriac word that means “the word” in English.

Meltho International School first opened its doors in September 2022 to local and international students from KG 1 to Grade 5, adding a new grade level each year until reaching a full Kindergarten to Grade 12 offering.
